Evening Programming:

6:00 pm – 6:45 pm: A free dance workshop for all, with different artists and dances each day

7:00 pm: A musical performance by the local band, Riddim Riders

7:30 pm: Let the dance performances begin!

Participating artists include:

Opening Band: Riddim Riders

As a local reggae band from Hamilton, Ontario, they have become well known for their unique, “steeltown reggae” sound.

Bound: Louis-Martin Charest

Are we not bound to those who have made an impression on our hearts? We have forged unspoken agreements that tie us together.

Rawrabide: Ofilio Sinbadinho

Rawrabide is inspired by a 1970s quote: “I was not born to be defined by someone else, but by myself, and myself only.”

The place in between: Myriam Allard

An all-out choreographic exploration for three performers: a dancer, a singer and a bata de cola (a long skirt typical to flamenco).

La gigue en souvenir: Sylvie Bouchard

This piece makes the past come alive through a journey inspired by the energy, the complexity and the vigour of the traditional Québec gigue.

Communal Solace: Alyssa Nedich

In times of crisis, the world around us seems to stand still. Communal Solace is what allows us to find the strength to rebuild and carry on together.
